The Madrid City Council has launched the call for the 2026 Awards for Recognition of Foreign Companies and Professionals, an initiative aimed at acknowledging the contribution of foreign investment and international talent to the city’s economic and business development.

The call is open to foreign companies based in the city of Madrid and to professionals of non-Spanish nationality who work or reside in the capital.

The application period will remain open until June 4, 2026, inclusive.

Six awards will be granted in the following categories:

Recognition for Companies

• International Business Leadership: recognizes the company that has demonstrated excellence in management, growth, and job creation in the region.
• Strategic Collaboration: for projects where collaboration with Madrid-based institutions has been key to success.
• Sustainability with Local Impact: for the company that, from its headquarters in Madrid, has implemented sustainable practices with measurable impact on the city.

Recognition for Professionals

• Global Professional Leadership: recognizes the foreign professional who has driven strategic projects in Madrid.
• International Connector: recognizes those who have facilitated strategic alliances between their company and Madrid-based entities, or between international and Madrid institutions.
• Commitment to Sustainability: recognizes those who have led or promoted sustainable initiatives in projects in the city of Madrid.

Applicants may only submit a candidacy for a single category.

Applications can be submitted online through the Electronic Headquarters of the Madrid City Council, using electronic identification and signature, or in person at the designated registry offices.
