The Madrid City Council is promoting the organization of strategic international events to strengthen Madrid’s position as a global business capital through a new grant scheme for 2026. Madrid City Council has launched a new call for grants aimed at supporting the organization of international events in the city throughout 2026, with a total budget of €550,000.

This initiative is part of the 2024–2027 Strategic Subsidies Plan and seeks to encourage the hosting of international congresses, forums, and events that contribute to enhancing Madrid’s global image as a leading business hub. The program aims to attract initiatives that generate economic impact, foster collaboration among international stakeholders, and strengthen key sectors for the city’s development.

Priority will be given to proposals linked to fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, biotechnology, clean energy, and digitalization—areas that are critical to sustainable growth and the competitiveness of Madrid’s economy. Particular attention will be paid to both the direct and indirect economic impact of the projects, as well as their ability to strengthen the local ecosystem and increase international visibility.

These events not only act as catalysts for investment but also facilitate knowledge transfer, the creation of strategic partnerships, and the development of new business opportunities. In this context, Madrid continues to reinforce its position as one of Europe’s leading hubs for attracting investment, talent, and high value-added business activity.

At Madrid Investment Attraction, we support companies throughout their establishment and growth processes, helping them integrate into the local ecosystem and connecting them with global business opportunities.
